Back Surgery

I'm sitting here in the waiting room at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center waiting to be called in for my back surgery and I thought I would pass the time and blog about how I am feeling since they have free WIFI. I'm freaking nervous. I didn't start to get real nervous until we pulled into the hospital parking lot. I know I am going to be okay but there are always risk's with surgery. I have a daughter who relies on me 24/7 so I need to be here for her. Well that's all I have to say right now. I will blog after my surgery when I get home, if I can. Happy Thursday reader!!!!

REAL HOUSE WIVES OF ORANGE COUNTY....

I'm laying here, using my daughter's new laptop that I got her for Christmas, watching Bravos The Real House Wives of Orange County and blogging about it during the commercials. I can't stop watching it. I'm getting obsessed with the show. It is so good. I never thought I would enjoy this show so much. These housewives are gorgeous. It's easy to be judgemental towards beautiful women who are confident about themselves but I don't feel judgemental at all because they are so funny and sweet. This is my new favorite reality show on Bravo. This set of housewives is much better than the New Jersey housewives. Maybe I am a little bias because these housewives are from California, my State. I don't live to far from Orange County. They live in a gated community called "Coto de Caza" located in Rancho Santa Margarita, Ca. Well it's back on. I'm going to continue watching it till 1:00pm this afternoon. It's a little marathon of the show. I guess to get people like me caught up. Happy Sunday Everyone. "This is the day, this is the day, this is the day that the Lord hath made. I will rejoice, I will rejoice, I will rejoice and be glad He did." That was an old church song we use to sing in Sunday school when I was little. I still love singing it. God Bless!!!!

Tornados don't just happen in Kansas now do they...

We, in Long Beach, California just had a storm of all storm's blow through here along with a small tornado. What the heck is going on here?! My whole street is flooded up to my door step. Instead of my car I need a two seater canoe, lol. The bad thing is that I just had a full blown anxiety attack and had to take some meds to calm the heck down. I don't even know the first thing to do in the event of a tornado, I have my daughter home from school today, thank God, cause she hurt her ankle last night and two cat's. I heard on the news to stay in your house and stay low, away from all windows and perhaps go into your bathtub with a lot of pillows covering your head. I was all set to get into that bathtub and have my dad put a mattress on top of me. Ever since my husband passed away 3 years ago I don't deal with stressful situations very well. He was always the one to take charge and comfort me and Natalie and my cat's. I miss having him around. He would of held me tight during the heavy rain, lightning and thunder and the tornado that thank God I didn't see. He would of reassured me that everything is going to be OK. Well, I am ok now. My nerves are calming down and I feel a lil bit better. This is some bizarre weather we Southern Californians are having. We aren't used to all this at all, so when things like this happen it is news worthy. I saw on the news that the tornado touched down in a shopping center in Seal Beach and turned over an SUV and uprooted some trees. WEIRD is all I have to say. This isn't the end of this winter storm. There is more to come. I just hope that the tornado warning's are over with. I can't take this much stress right now. Stay dry Southern, California and don't get blown away. Happy Tuesday everyone!!!!!! =/

It's Official......

I am having back surgery on Thursday January 28th, 2010 at 8:30am in Long Beach Memorial's out patient Hospital. I am surprisingly calm about it because I want to be out of PAIN!!!!! They are going to do one side at a time my left side will be done on the 28th and the right side will be done on Thursday February 11th, 2010. My Doctor said the recovery time is only 1 week, which is good because I have an 11 year old daughter and 2 cat's to take care of. I know I won't be able to be completely bed ridden and let people wait on me hand and foot because I am so darn independent. I will try though. If any one is reading this please pray that everything goes A-OK. Thank you and Happy Monday everyone =)

Dexter WINS!!!!!

I am so happy that FINALLY my favorite actor from the show "Dexter" won. You go Michael C. Hall. I knew he was going to win. This past season was awesome. To win a Golden Globe and be in remission from Hodgkin's lymphoma is one of God's Blessing's for sure =) I was also rooting for John Lithgow. He was fabulous as the trinity killer and he to won, YEAH!!!! I wish the show would of won but "Mad Men" is all the rage right now. I have never seen a single episode. The best thing about last night's show, besides Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow winning, was that "30 Rock" didn't win and that is truly a blessing because they always win for everything. Finally a new show has taken the reigns and that show is "Glee". Another show I have never watched but I heard it is very good. I despise the show "30 Rock" for some reason. I don't know why but they were always winning in every awards shows, the Emmy's, the Golden Globes, and all the other's. Though Alec Baldwin won, at least it wasn't Tina Fey or the ever so annoying Tracey Morgan, I can't stand him.

All in all it was a good night despite the rain. I loved the dresses this year. Some were absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to watch E's Fashion Police tonight to hear their opinion's. Joan Rivers is back to give her two cents worth of fashion advice, should be a funny show. Though I don't think Khloe Kardashian should even be giving fashion advice, she dresses ugly, that's just my opinion. Now Kim her sister, YES, she should give the fashion advice not Khloe.

Happy Birthday Martin Luther King Jr. Stay dry southern California it's going to rain all week. I love it!!!!

Golden Globe Awards

Watching the Golden Globe Awards right now with my daughter. I love Ricky Gervais, he is hilarious. I just hope Dexter and Michael C. Hall win. I am also rooting for John Lithgow, he was absolutely awesome as the Trinity Killer. I never saw him play such a vile character. So far my favorite actress Toni Collette won. I love her show "United States of Tera". Enjoy the show if you are watching it. Happy rainy Sunday!!! Stay dry =)

Big Love

I just finished watching the season 4 premiere of "Big Love" on HBOEast. It seems like it has been an eternity since season 3 ended. Tonight's episode was ok. I had forgotten what had been going on. The story line is losing my attention already. It sure isn't as good as it was when it first started. I'm not going to give up just yet on the first episode. I don't like to see the previews for the next week's episode so I hope it will be better than this week's episode. Did anyone see it and if you did what did you think of it. Happy Sunday everyone!!!!

Bridezillas

It's 6:50 pm on Saturday evening and as I was switching through the hundreds of channels trying to find something good to watch and I stopped on a show called "Bridezillas". WOW is all I have to say about how those brides act, especially towards their husband's to be. I often wonder if these brides are just hamming it up for the cameras and the show. I hope so for their sake because they are awful. If I were a potential groom marrying one of these bridezillas I would call off the wedding and run for the hills. These ladies are ridiculous. Mean, insensitive and horrible doesn't even really describe how awful they really are. Getting married is all about having fun and being happy that you are going to spend the rest of your life with the man you love. Even though when I married for the first time at 22 it did end up in divorce 3 years later, I had fun planning our wedding. I didn't have a wedding planner. My mom, my ex-husband and my friends in the wedding party all helped out and we had a good ole` time. Each person was in charge of something and if they messed up or did it differently than I had originally asked, it was OK. Why do these woman stress out over such little minute things. It's insanity to me. Anyways, if you haven't checked out this show yet, you should definitely watch it sometime. I swear you will get a kick out of it. It airs on the weekends on WE TV channel 148 for Time Warner customers. I just feel very sorry for the poor groom in the end cause he has to go home with his bridezilla and live with her, yikes!!!! They should do a follow up show and see how many couples are still married. Maybe call it, "Bridezillas, The Aftermath", lol. I'd watch it, wouldn't you, hahahaha, lol. Happy Saturday everyone!!!!
